Its those kind of comments that just ensure Monday nights continue :)

Ok - so after listening to various folks i get the

1. You are ALL very keen to keep TORA going around a specific game. You all think I was slightly mad to suggest anything otherwise and I have therefore booked myself in for rehab to get off the sherry once and for all.
2. We all agree TF2 is good fun. We have some concerns about long term fun with TF2 - but that shouldn't deflect us from having a blast for a few months.
3. On a personal note, I will be playing TF2 and Quake Wars. QW rocks in a big way. I will be encouraging us to try the demo whilst we blast away with TF2. I also plan to join a QW clan to call home in 2008. More on that over at http://tora.clangrid.com

Thanks very much for all the constructive feedback. Now lets get on with the taunting, killing and nashing of teeth in 2008 - 1st game Monday Jan 7th.

P.S. This forum will close to new posts end of today.

Well we all know that anyway :) That big screen of your's has got him scared, simple as that.

Murkin, having played TF2 quite a bit, do you think it will last long as a game ? Compared to the likes of Quake Wars, BF2 etc there isn't a lot too it.....but it is good fun.

Details of the new site etc will appear later this week.

Quitting? you gits.....it has taken me 6 weeks to get hold of the orange box, and I now have it and installed (steam is just updating it with patches) and people are talking about new games...

And now we have no game server? What were u on Milky, we would have raised the cash to keep it going.

:) What's This I Hear You Say ? :)

Milky, you got to be having a laff !

I go and buy me new puter ~ which I had to rob a bank for ~ and now i am waiting for that knock on the door where the kind posty brings me my nice new Razor Copperhead mickey (with non slip mouse mat of course) just so i can get to nail your big ass with that shiny new rocket I have loaded in my launcher and I read up that some girl called Milky wants to QUIT ?

Hmmmmmmm, its not like the old days where some of us had a bit more fight in us is it lads !!

As you have already read, Milky me old chum.... nobody wants to quit playing on Mondays and neither do you... I think the christmas brandy has got to your head ! (maybe you should have stopped at just the 1 bottle! )

Nice to hear from Wij, I hope you are having a great time, we want to know all about it when you get back! Also nice to know they have running electric in Oz.... and a PC... WOW !

So..... the way I see it is.....

1. Nobody wants to stop having such a good laugh on Mondays
2. Most people have TF2 and like it, I think once we have a night where more players turn up and we get some real teamplay into TF2 it will be 10 times more fun
3. Lately for TF2 we have been unlucky in the fact that only around 6 players have been available
4. Im sure the Sales have started so anyone without it best go buy it.... or sadly I fear we will lose touch with our mates
5. Let's have a look around for another private host for TF2 and if it costs a bit more I don't mind paying
6. MILKY is a girl !

I say we play TF2 from the new year..... find a new server.... carry on having fun... more so with the injection of a new game which is great for teamplay and styled in a fun way from the off.

Milky....... You are our born leader and it's hard organising a clan and it takes more time than people think. Thank you for bringing us the laughs over 2007 and, even though you have tried not to.... you have to keep at it ..... Sorry !!

If you want more help, I for one will spend more time doing stuff or paying towards the new host, I would rather do that than lose out on the fun times we have which we all enjoy.

I already downloaded and played Quakewars and first impressions are that the demo map is Massive ! The graphics are brilliant ! The gameplay i'm not sure about as I have only played for a short while but I'm sure it could be the number 2 game for us.

While we establish TF2, how about everyone downloads it and trys it during January and see what people think after that.

Im sure I have now run out of space on my screen (did I mention it is 24"). Food for thought people... oh.... HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
